At The Ponies shows, our audiences get to be the stars! In short-form improv comedy, our actors take part in various games that focus on creating interesting characters, building extraordinary scenes, or delivering quick one-liners. All the ideas for these games come from the suggestions from our audience!
 
Ever wanted to see a gorilla in a grocery store? The world's worst use for toilet paper? What your cat really does when you leave the house? Shout it out and we'll make it happen!

Not into quick thinking? Some of our games need written suggestions! Every show we look for ideas from our audience to include in the performance. Take a look for some ideas!

FIRST FRIDAY - DROP IN, DROP OUT IMPROV

The best way to see The Ponies live!
 
Stop by Talking Horse Productions on the first Friday of the month starting at 7pm to see our entire crew in action. Each First Friday show features two hours of family-friendly improv from 7-9pm, perfect for kids and families, and then AFTER DARK improv for our more rowdy audiences. Guests are welcome to arrive whenever they're able, stay as long as they want, and pay what they can*. Our First Friday shows are fundraisers for Talking Horse Productions and all the proceeds go to supporting the classes, events, and shows at the theatre.

*Minimum suggested donations is $10. 

IMPROV SPECTACULAR

Outside of the regular First Friday shows, The Ponies can also be found at Talking Horse Productions for special Improv Spectacular performances on other days of the week as scheduled. 5 to 10 of our actors, participate in Columbia's only Improv Game Show where there are only winners! These performances run between an hour-and-a-half to two hours with a 10 minute intermission. Content age restrictions can be found on the ticketing platform.

Tickets are $10.

SPECIAL ENGAGEMENTS

The Ponies are also available for bookings for events, parties, and other theatrical venues. Content, admission, and ticketing to these events may vary depending on the hosting authority, but all events open to the public can be found here!
